Once again, I will be riding in the Cycle for Sight, a fund raiser for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. My nephew Gavin, who is in his mid 20's, has RP, a disease that leaves him legally blind. I'm riding for Gavin and others like him, so that a cure can be found, allowing those with eye disease to do all the things in life those of us with good eyesight take for granted. This years Toronto based ride (actually starts and finishes in Loretto) will have several hundred riders, including Gavin who will ride on a tandem bike with his brother Zachary. It really is a beautiful sight to see so many people afflicted with eye disease riding on tandem bikes and getting a chance to do something the rest of us don't think twice about doing. For 2019, I will be riding 100 KM's to raise money for the foundation. This is an outstanding fundraiser and I thank you in advance for your support as I know you have many options on how to spend your charity dollars. And as always, we are looking for additional people to join our team....why not you? Just think, not only do you raise money for a good cause, you get in shape at the same time....and just in time for summer. Reach out to me if you are interested in joining our team.
Cheers,
John
